The testimony of the children of God is that they go from glory to glory, and from strength to strength. This is an undeniable and infallible truth, and many times it is looked at from certain perspectives, more than it is or should be in others.
I have realized that God can bless you, raise you, elevate you, anoint you and use you mightily at an early stage in life and this sometimes can make many to focus on what He is doing with and to them, rather than what he is doing or should do in them.
As such, many find themselves caught up with doing a lot for God and lose sight of what He should do in them. God is willing and able to anything for, with and in us, but we must allow him to.
Therefore, for everything God has called us to do, for every blessing he has poured upon everything that concerns us, we ought to take a step sometimes to evaluate ourselves and keep tabs with the person we are becoming as these changes occur.
We must mature to the understanding that there is what people think of us, and who we truly are, and any man out of sync with who they truly are, can never grow because they are veiled with people’s opinion of them rather than God’s.
The bible says “Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it. 2Cor5:13”
We need to give ourselves regular checkups as we continue to grow and to increase in the things of God, otherwise, it is possible to increase the anointing upon our lives, but not increase in that same anointing; it is possible to have an increasing ministry upon our lives that is not changing or transforming us; it is possible to esteem ourselves beyond measure or run the race in vain.
The consciousness we ought to carry is that as we grow and increase in the things of God, He, in His faithfulness transforms us and changes us too; that our character and attitudes grow alongside the elevations and graces that God gives.
Otherwise life has taught us that it is possible for one to rise to greatness, but not carry the character and wisdom to sustain them in that place of greatness.
When you have the humility to trust God enough to transform, change and increase you even as his graces and elevations come, and then you learn to actually live according to the standard of His word, He shades a glory on your way, and causes you to bear fruit that lasts.
He is the vine, and we are the branches, and for that, we believe that His character is at work in us, his attributes are at work in us as we continue to live in this communion with him.
May we never lose the wonder, for God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.
Hallelujah.
Stay Blessed.
