Finding yourself #2

A while ago, we talked about finding yourself in God, and consequently walking in the purpose for your life, or living out the best  that God has intended you to. This is important because it lays the foundation of our lives, later on making it easy to find ourselves in the completeness that God calls us out of.

But to live out this fore-ordained intention of God for our lives, we have to balance both the knowledge of who we are, and the manifestation of the very things that make us. It’s not just enough to know that we are complete in him, that we are created in his image and likeness, that we are created to dominate, and all the truth we know about our true nature in God.

The bible has stated clearly for us that, Everything we could ever need for life and godliness[a] has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. 2 Peter 1:3.

Let me emphasize the fact that God has deposited in us everything we need, both for Life and godliness. Everything that happens in our physical lives, has a bearing in and from the spiritual, and it’s with this understanding that we should be able to translate the things we know to be true about our spiritual lives into the physical realm.

The basic questions we need to ask ourselves are; How can I translate the things I carry in my spirit into the physical? How can I allow who I am in God, to influence my natural man? How can I use the knowledge of who I am in God, to make deliberate choices and decisions that will determine my course of life?

Once we push ourselves to that place, we find ourselves becoming relevant in every season of life. We become like trees planted by the waterside, whose leaves never wither because there is a constant supply from the source.

So I ask, how are the things you know influencing your decision making, choices and consequently, your character? Or maybe to be more specific, how is what you know about yourself, helping you to apply for the right job, choose the right friends, start the right business, serve as you should in your church, pray the way you should, and many other aspects of life?

We must admit that we have no excuse, since God has already deposited in us everything we need to make the right decisions and choices concerning life.

My prayer is that you will not only discover who you are in God, but also use that knowledge to be relevant in our generation, because it has already been given to you by God to be and to do.

Stay Blessed.
