Finding Yourself #3

When we find out who we are in God, what we are here for, and then use that understanding to transform our physical or natural atmosphere, we find our lives impacted in different ways. This impact in turn, is witnessed in and through these various aspects of our lives;

Relationships

The discovery of who you are, and what you are here for changes the game of life, especially in defining who you ought to walk with as your friends, and consequently, a marriage partner if your heart desires to take that journey.

Because who you are defines certain aspirations and dreams, it somehow pushes you to set some goals so that your life is moving in a particular direction. It is for this reason that you will find yourself choosing wisely, the people that will walk with you in that direction, to see your goals achieved and aspirations fulfilled.

It takes a grinding wheel to sharpen a blade, and so one person sharpens the character of another. Proverbs 27:17

Time management

With a defined purpose, established aspirations, set goals and a definite direction, it is easy to manage the time you have, because it is concentrated on the necessary. You find yourself focused on priority engagements, hence being consistently relevant and producing fruit that lasts.

Do you see a man skillful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honor] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men. Proverbs 22:29

Answers to prayer

The perfect will of God defines our purpose, and when we have figured that out, we learn to pray effectively according to His will. What this means is that all our prayers are answered because we are positioned in a place of purpose and perfection of his will.

Since we have this confidence, we can also have great boldness before him, for if we ask anything agreeable to his will, he will hear us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have obtained the requests we ask of him. (1John 5:14-15).

Ministry and service.

Our life’s purpose is given and revealed by God, and therefore, it can only be, in the end, of service to Him.

When you carry the understanding of who you are, it gives clarity on the aspect of service to God. you know how to serve him according to your call and your assignment. You stop being a busybody, and instead focus on fulfilling your ministry and call as it is defined by God.

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you,[a] but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Romans 12:2

There are many other aspects that we can talk about, but for now, let’s just focus on the above. I pray that this series is a blessing to you, and has tangible impact in your life.

Stay blessed.
